Fast And Furious Fast And Furious :: movie review :: Aka : Fast & Furious 4

Fast And Furious starts as Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) reignites his feud with FBI agent  Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker), and we are back to the same place we left off before the “Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift” fiasco. This movie was just what was supposed to be a story of a criminal and his Frienemy, that’s friend-enemy; meaning that they both like fast cars and FBI agent O’Connor was dating Dom’s sister in the other movies. There is not allot of a back story the Writers have predetermined that we have already watched the previous film and cant wait to get right into the story.
I love you man I love you man : movie review
This is, I hope not final demasculinization of the modern man. This our guy Peter (Paul Rudd )has no real friends, unlike his Zooey (Rashida Jones )his fiance has lots of close friends as their wedding nears he realizes that he needs a best man. So he goes on a number of MAN-DATES to find a new best friend slash best man. This is a strange premise for a film, but as a straight white man, I could see this happening. So he meets Sydney (Jason Segel) and they become friends and start a half-ass rock band.
The haunting in Connecticut The haunting in Connecticut :: movie review
This Film is based on a true story of a family whose oldest son has cancer in the year 1987 and the only treatment was 8 hours away from their house in Connecticut Hence the name, “The haunting in Connecticut”. They are having money problems, so they decide to move into an old inexpensive building closer to the hospital, that was once a funeral home and begin to believe quickly that it is haunted.
Knowing action movie review 2009 Knowing: movie review 2009 Nicolas Cage :  It’s the year 1959 and a young girl is haunted by voices as she writes down a sting of what  seem to be random numbers, this list is then sealed in a time capsule at an elementary school , to be opened in the year 2009. There are letters and pictures from every kid in the class, but Nicolas Cage' son 50 years later, gets the page of numbers from the young girl. Nicolas Cage’s character John Koestler, is an astrophysicist at MIT, he figures out there’s a code in the numbers that possibly predict the future.
Coraline Coraline movie review
Coraline opens as young Coraline Jones is moving into the Pink Palace Apartments, with her very workaholic parents. She Goes out exploring the local forest and runs into a seemingly feral cat and her strange new neighbor boy named Wybie Lovat and he gives her a Doll with button eyes that looks just like her and is even dressed like her. She the next day befriends the other neighbor in the building two old retired actresses and a old Russian guy with trained mice. She that night find a secret doorway that leads to a passage to another reality, that she has other parents and everything is just the way she had imagined life should be…or is it?
Angels and Demons Angels & Demons 2009 movie review
This an ambitious film and a story based on the book authored by Dan Brown who wrote the 2006 movie The Da Vinci Code. This is an intense book I read before seeing the movie and a real page turner, with a lot of historical references to the Illuminati a secret society and antimatter a strange new substance that is no stranger to star trek fans. This story is very complex almost too complex for most folks and is full of catholic traditions and rhetoric that at times I had no idea what was going on. There is though art lots of famous art from around Rome where the film is set, and this is a kind of history of lesson and action film rolled into one, just like the semi-historical movie that it is a sequel to. Tom Hanks, Ayelet Zurer, Ewan McGregor all give strong performances and Ron Howard does a great good of making a movie that was a monumental undertaking of biblical proportions, no pun intended . Robert Langdon, Harvard University professor is back and this time trying to save the Vatican and the catholic cardinals from an antimatter explosion and a assassin who is as pure evil.

"Whats UP doc?" UP the 2009 Disney : movie review So, it’s gone full circle a generation that was raised on cartoons as Children has lived to see a cartoon made that deals with end of life issues and the meaning of life. With traces of The BUCKET LIST and REVOLUTIONARY ROAD as the plot the themes, the new film UP from Pixar Animation Studios has incorporated deep levels of human condition whether or not some of the young viewers ever understand it. I guess with a buzz about an Oscar already for a BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY for writer Bob Peterson for this film, we enter into a new era of animation, a place where the writers of the original cartoons like Warner Bros. Cartoons Bugs Bunny could never ever imagined going. GO

Battle of the mall cops… Paul Blart: Mall Cop vs. Observe and Report : Movie reviews. So here my entry in the halls American literary excellence, my movie reviews of the Box office smack down brawl of two mall cop movies that are released back to back in the same year. Hey maybe I should write a screenplay about a chubby mall cop would wants to be a real cop and saves the hottest girl in the mall from the bad guys, on second thought it’s been done…twice. So the big question, which is funnier, which one of these movies was a better story, or should you see both films?  Read more

I really like Borat I laughed out loud more than a few times this film coined some Phrases that entered into the public conscience Like….”not”.  Full Article

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters :: 2007 movie review  The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters is about the world record high score for the highly popular in the 80’s arcade game Donkey Kong and who really is the champ. The game as those of us who have played it gets progressively hard as you move up levels to the point of utter insanity. This is the story of Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell , Steve is trying to get this record that has been unbeaten for over 20 years. There is a bunch of other people associated with Twin Galaxies, an organization formed to keep track of high scores achieved on arcade games in the United States and they are interview, which adds to the story and its complexities. This documentary film has all the elements of a real movie, meaning a hero, villain, conflict and resolution which are rare in a documentary and kind of surprising...go

There is a fine line between at the beginning of a film, between character building and a slow moving start. Meaning that at the beginning of a film the writers and directors of a film have to set the stage for the story, and add little hints of the coming drama, while build up the back story about the character to make us CARE about them. This movie had a little bit of a slow start, but as in all good movies it’s worth the wait. Victoria Madsen is really good in this film and she gives a well rounded performance and adds a solid presence of believability to this film. The acting was very well done in general in this movie and that includes the children, which is usually not the case. The use of old still photography as a devise for the plot was not unique , but very well incorporated to full effect. The music for this film is part of the films texture and not just thrown in later to add suspense to a weakly acted scenes, it works and is well written and performed...

The haunting in Connecticut :: movie review horror and thriller film

This is a very scary movie, I really liked it. I’m not the biggest horror movie fan and that’s because most horror film are not really that well done and the music is cheesy “The haunting in Connecticut” was neither of these. The worst part of this film was the advertising that was all over the bus benches here in L.A. which did little if anything to do with makeing me want to see this film, and had really nothing to do in hind sight to the experience I had in the theater.  “Now I know why the rent was so cheap” a line from this film when the husband discovers his wife had moved them into a funeral home and there a basement full of old surgical tools and embalming tables…

No spoiler reviews

OK “We don’t do spoilers”; it’s my policy to be very vague about the story lines of the films I review here. I have always hated reading movie reviews that tell to much about a film. Entering a theater already having preconceived notions about the plot and / or the outcome of the film in the past have ruined the viewing experience for me,so this is why these reviews are written this way . I hope you enjoy our NO Spoiler Action Movie Reviews!
